Main Tasks & Functions

Based on the Rector Regulation of Trunojoyo Madura University Number 3 of 2018 concerning the Details of the Duties of the Head and Secretary of the Department, Study Program Coordinator and Head of Laboratory of Trunojoyo Madura University

Duties of the Head of the Department :

  1. Prepare the Department’s work plan and program as a work guideline;
  2. Provide data on the needs of department lecturers;
  3. Draft a Department development plan (further study / training of staff / lecturers, laboratory assistants, student scientific competency training) as input to the Dean in policy making;
  4. Submitting proposals for the assignment of Guardian Lecturers, supervisors and examiners of final assignments, teaching, research and service to the Dean, based on input from the study program coordinator;
  5. Coordinating lecturers to conduct research and community service in accordance with their workload and expertise; and
  6. Compile reports on the implementation of Department activities in accordance with the results achieved as an accountability for the implementation of duties.

Duties of the Secretary of the Department :

  1. Assist in preparing materials for the concept of the Department’s annual work plan and program as a guideline for carrying out tasks;
  2. Assist in preparing materials for the concept of the Department’s development plan (further study, staff / lecturer training, laboratory staff, student soft skills training);
  3. Coordinate the administration of the Department and collect documents related to the Study Program; and
  4. Assist the duties and functions of the Head of Study Program in general.

Duties of the Study Program Coordinator :

  1. Prepare a study program work plan per year based on the workload of the Study Program and applicable provisions for the smooth running of lecture activities;
  2. operational costs of the Study Program;
  3. Coordinating the implementation of academic/vocational/professional education in the study program;
  4. Coordinating the making of RPS and SAP teaching;
  5. Coordinating the implementation of exams, collection of exam questions, and quality control of exam questions;
  6. Propose/determine the assignment of Guardian Lecturers or Academic Advisors, supervisors and final project examiners, teaching every semester;
  7. Monitor and evaluate the implementation of lectures to improve the quality of the Study Program;
  8. Develop a practicum implementation plan;
  9. Coordinating students who complete the final project with the Supervising Lecturer for the smooth running of academic tasks; and
  10. Compile reports on the implementation of study program activities in accordance with the results that have been achieved as accountability for the implementation of tasks.

Duties of the Laboratory Head :

  1. Prepare work plans and programs or laboratory / studio activities;
  2. Coordinate, organize and prepare the use of laboratories for practicum and research;
  3. Prepare technical instructions (SOP) for laboratory use;
  4. Develop a procurement and maintenance plan for laboratory equipment;
  5. Responsible for the inventory of practicum tools and materials;
  6. Submitting proposals for materials and tools needed each semester to the Dean through the Head of the department;
  7. Reporting damage, loss and shortages of facilities under the responsibility of the Head of the Laboratory to the Head of the department;
  8. Coordinating scientific development in certain fields of study through teaching and research activities;
  9. Has the right to refuse requests for laboratory use outside the applicable provisions; and
  10. Compile periodic laboratory management reports.
